Janneke van Beusekom, MSS, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker |
Ms. van Beusekom is a licensed Clinical Social Worker
with a Master's degree in Social Services (MSS) from Bryn Mawr
College's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.
Prior to attending Bryn Mawr, she earned a Ph.D. in Economics and
taught at the college level. She has been providing counseling
and psychotherapy at LMA to individuals, couples, and groups since
1994. She completed a three-year training program in Gestalt
therapy, is certified as a Gestalt therapist, and is involved in
ongoing Gestalt training. The fundamental principle that human
beings strive for wholeness and health underlies her approach; the
purpose of psychotherapy and counseling, therefore, is to challenge
and address barriers to growth while encouraging and facilitating the
journey toward wholeness.
She specializes in chronic physical illness and disability (having
worked especially extensively with people living with multiple
sclerosis or cancer), trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety,
interpersonal relationships, marriage, and separation and divorce.
She also serves as a parent therapist on LMA's reactive attachment
disorder team. She is GLBT affirmative and sees clients in our
Greenfield office. Contact Ms. van Beusekom at 717.394.6688. |
