Linnea Bailey, Ph.D., is a licensed Psychologist who
specializes in wellness and self-empowerment. She views her work
with others from a holistic perspective in which connection of mind,
body and spirit and the individual's relationship to others and the
world is recognized. Strengths, not just weaknesses are actively
explored in session, as clients are encouraged to draw upon their
inner resources with her guidance and support. In addition to a
holistic perspective, Dr. Bailey incorporate cognitive-behavioral and
family systems therapy. Dr. Bailey works with adults and
conducts individual and
group therapy. Other specialty areas
include: depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress
management, women's issues, combining psychology with spirituality,
post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss, survivors of sexual abuse, relationship
issues, adult children of alcoholics, and gay, lesbian and bisexual
issues.
Dr. Bailey has a B.A. in History from Franklin and Marshall
College, a M.Ed. in Counseling from Millersville University and a
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University. Her pre-
and post-doctoral hours were completed at the University of
Pennsylvania. Dr. Bailey also holds a black belt in the Japanese martial
art of aikido - also known as the art of peace.
